happy July!

i am grateful that it's July! and for having too many projects swirling about inside me, lining up - eventually- to wait their turn to be born. i am grateful for the breeze coming through my sparkly curtains and for the smell of my studio. that smell...filled with possibility. i am grateful for my coyote heart revealing itself to me...it's always been there, curled up, waiting for me to remember.

today i am grateful for friends who will act as a sounding board...who will let me speak in my unstoppable stream-of-conciousness way until all my jumbled thoughts are hung neatly to dry on the washline, flapping about in the turbulence of perception...then walk down the lawn and examine them, til we find the one true thought - the one that fits best - then help me fold and pack the rest away.

i am grateful for the peace that surpasses all understanding, and comes to me like a gentle whisper of a feather tickling my cheek and reminding me:

all is well. all is well. all. is. well.

i know it's been a while, but heck, this blog's for YOU to post in...so where the heck have you been?? please make it down to the Delavan Art Gallery before April 25th ...you will thank me! the show is shiny and tasty and wonderful! i am so grateful to have been included in this event. i'll be onsite there 3/21 noon-3pm if you want to stop by and say hi. be good and be grateful, y'all!

isn't this moon beautiful? just so full of possibilities. this was taken last summer during one of our Hillbilly Redneck Driveway Parties. my neighbors are great! a small cul-de-sac. and in the summer, we all drag folding chairs down to someone's driveway and hang out...maybe a bonfire in our backyard from time to time...smores and margaritas and chocolate martinis. it's easy to love your neighbor in this 'hood!

wed 2/25

today i am grateful for my friends....not just because I see my reflection in their eyes, but because I hope they see their own reflections back at them from mine...i'm grateful for this wednesday off and the Good Day in the Studio so far...and for the cat finally curled up and sleeping next to the right side of me, and the dog finally sleeping to the left. i may just nap now! i'm grateful to know fearless women, and fearful women who aren't afraid to be afraid, knowing it will give them coyote hearts. i'm grateful to know women who can make an entire buffet appear out of words, and women who can make an entire lifetime disappear without a single word. i'm grateful to be me, now, here. i'm grateful you are reading this, and hope you share your gratitude also. L.

oh and PS....opening day was delayed, but for very good reason and you will forgive me when you see why! it's coming soon! oy i work so hard. *sigh* (and smile.)
